We collect the following information when you use Soundforge:

  • Account information: Your email address when you create an account.
  • Class notes: The notes you paste into the app to generate songs. These are used only to create your song and are not shared with third parties.
  • Generated content: Songs and lyrics created through your use of the service.
  • Payment information: Handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card details.
  • Usage data: How many songs you generate per month, your selected genres, and your subscription plan.

  • To provide and improve the Soundforge service
  • To generate songs based on your class notes
  • To manage your account and subscription
  • To process payments through Stripe
  • To respond to your support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your class notes or generated songs for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Soundforge uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Supabase: Stores your account data and song history securely.
  • Stripe: Processes all payments. Your payment data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
  • AIMusicAPI: Generates the music audio from your lyrics. Your notes are sent to this service to create your song.
  • Anthropic Claude: Generates song lyrics from your class notes. Your notes are sent to this service.
  • Vercel: Hosts the Soundforge application.

5. Age Requirements

Soundforge is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a school or educator providing access to students under 13, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental consent in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at soundforge00@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption. Audio files are stored in Supabase Storage. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no internet transmission is 100% secure. We recommend using a strong password and keeping your account credentials private.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Cancel your subscription at any time
  • Request a copy of your data
